HR Assistant Manager – C.A Papaellinas Emporiki Ltd (Alphamega Hypermarkets)

  • Coordinates the work of the Association ensuring that the Association’s strategy and action plan are successfully implemented. 
  • Represents the Association in official events and in organizations inside and outside Cyprus.
  • Presides and coordinates the sessions of the Board of Directors and the General Meetings.
  • Signs together with the Secretary the Minutes of the Meetings of the Board of Directors.
  • Handles all negotiations with strategic partners of the Association in cooperation with the relevant member of the Board of Directors.
  • Coordinates the strategic projects of the Association.

Βiography:

Athena Neophytou is an experienced HR professional with over 18 years in strategic human resources management. She holds an MSc in HR & Business from Aston Business School and serves as HR Assistant Manager at C.A. Papaellinas Emporiki Ltd (Alphamega Hypermarkets). She is also active in academia, currently teaching at CIM – Cyprus Business School in the areas of Equality, Inclusion, Wellbeing, HR and Talent Management. Athena is a certified trainer approved by the Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus (HRDA/AnAD) and has completed 120 hours of specialized training in labour legislation. She currently serves as Vice President of the CyHRMA Board. Her vision is to strengthen collaboration among HR professionals and build a more connected, modern, and impactful HR community in Cyprus.

Vision:

I am running for the CYHRMA Board with a clear intention: to bring HR professionals from all industries closer together. Through open dialogue and shared experiences, I believe we can better understand the employment‑related challenges each sector faces and work collectively toward meaningful solutions. Drawing on my experience in the field and my continuous involvement with labour legislation and workplace matters, I aim to support our members by providing guidance, knowledge, and practical insights wherever they are needed. My goal is to strengthen the relationships within our HR community, encourage the exchange of expertise, and contribute to building a more unified and impactful association.
